Second Time’s The Charm!

Y1:D174 – Wanderer 2, which is actually Wanderer 1 with an overhauled power supply, managed a successful launch at 4:34 today. It’s headed for the Mün as planned.

Once there it will fire its tiny engine to enter into orbit around our nearest natural satellite and begin sending data and images back to Kerbin.

More advanced cameras and instruments mean that the images are expected to be far better than those of Venture 5, whose ground breaking pictures were relatively poor quality.
